Ashley with her first experience buying things at the market.
There are many places to exchange money around. The top line is for US Dollar. On the left is what they buy Moldovan Leu for, and the right is what they sell for. When we exchange we are selling to them, so today it would be 11.68 Leu per US Dollar.
We are shopping, looking for laundry detergent.
There was some head bopping going on, not caught in the picture. There was some groovy music playing.
Ashley shopping for a vacuum, even though we already have one.
Hmmm, which hair dryer to choose? So many options....
Deb outside the market. The girls and Daniel are already inside, as they've been here a few times. This was Deb's first visit, as she has been sick the first few days.
This is the local market down the street from our flat. We've been to this once per day so far. We are learning that some Moldovans buy things for up to a week, while others buy day to day. We are in the day to day category now.
Shopping, we traveled to the market in the cold, so we were all bundled up.
Our shopping cart. Hot dog sausages on top, a box of apple juice, and a can of corn are what you see. Underneath were some paper towels, noodles, and spaghetti sauce.
Daniel was looking for spaghetti sauce.
Meat counter at the market.
We were after butter. It's in the middle of the case.
Ashley appears to be bored with the whole shopping experience.
